Boligkontoret Danmark is a non-profit administrator managing more than 35,000 rental properties on behalf of 67 independent housing organisations spread across Denmark. The organisation's stakeholder landscape is broad: residents, board members and waitlist members, all with a need for timely, relevant and localised communication.
The challenge was not a lack of ambition, but a lack of infrastructure. BDK communicated with its stakeholders, but without a coherent foundation capable of ensuring consistency, scalability and local adaptation across all 67 organisations. Every communication need required manual effort, and there was no automation to carry the growth.
BDK wanted to take a significant step up in digital maturity — and build a communication foundation that would not only solve today's needs, but actively support future ambitions for closer and more consistent stakeholder engagement.

The process began with a series of workshops mapping the business needs the solution needed to cover — both at launch and over time. A defined scope of automated communication flows was prioritised for the first phase.
A central design principle shaped the entire build: the system needed to scale across all 67 housing organisations without duplicating the work for each one. RiseB2B developed an architecture where one email per communication need automatically adapts with logo, sender, copy and footer based on which housing organisation the resident or board member belongs to. The result is that every message reflects the local organisation it comes from — without additional manual effort.
Today, BDK has a scalable communication setup that reaches residents, board members and waitlist members from one manageable foundation. And with automated communication in place, BDK is now expanding its HubSpot CRM to cover board collaboration, document management and member engagement.
The platform went live within six months and gave BDK a scalable communication setup covering all three stakeholder groups from one manageable foundation. HubSpot's agility, combined with the scalable architecture, has significantly shortened the path from idea to action.
The strategic gain extends beyond communication: with a well-functioning CRM foundation in place, BDK is now able to expand digitally without starting from scratch. The next step is to bring HubSpot into board collaboration, document management and broader member engagement — and the foundation is already laid.
